More Fun with the Box Kit – Pretty in Pink?

In my last post and video, I indicated I’d be doing more with the big box of yarn. I have now completed my second project from the box using six different shades of yarn in semi- related pinks. As with the green shrug and hat project, I used Tunisian Simple stitch because its ability to have two colors per row lends itself perfectly to projects using multiple colors. I’d previously never used more than 4 different balls of yarn in any project, so this was an attempt to stretch and learn a bit.

I learned some things for sure.

I think after this I’m going to take a little break from the box. I still have many remaining balls in all kinds of oddball colors, but I don’t have many variegated skeins left so whatever I do next will be primarily with single-color balls of yarn. That’s not quite as crazy fun, but perhaps it is more challenging. But I think I’m good on extra challenges for a few days. The next project probably won’t involve a whole bunch of colors, but then again, I do have 2 sets of 7 different colors of blue yarn from the box kit staring at me, sitting in order I’d use them right here in my workspace, so….

Stay tuned!
